A mosaic covers a larger area than the satellite can image in one image take, or one pass or a particular area.  Using two or more satellite images taken on different days, they are seamlessly joined to produce a larger scene.

Currently, we are filling our archive with image tiles (25km x 25km) and strips (25km x 300km) that can be arranged into mosaics that will eventually accommodate many of the most desirable areas of the world.
